This website has teaching resources that focus around ethical issues and sustainability, encouraging children to recognise the role they play as citizens of a global community. The Reboot the Future Calendar is a great way to keep up to date with national and international days such as International Mountain Day and World Migratory Bird Day.
This website has teaching resources that are built around natural world and sustainability themes. There are also lots of fascinating articles that would be perfect for a shared or guided reading session.
Included in this site’s educational offer is over 200 fact sheets that are perfect for children’s independent research. The fact sheets provide reliable information on individual animal species and a range of environmental issues.

The Chester Zoo website has a range of primary resources that relate to its animals and the conservation work that they do. The Sustainable Palm Oil teachers pack teaches children about palm oil and the actions we can all take to help wildlife affected by palm oil production.
The World Wildlife Fund have lots of engaging resources for the 7-11 age range that are designed to encourage children to care about the planet. There are resources that will help enrich your school’s ‘Changing Climate’, curriculum such as the Our Frozen Worlds information text and the Climate Crisis poster.
The Royal Institution has several fabulous Off-the-shelf Masterclasses that can be easily adapted to give an exciting kickstart to a science or mathematics topic. Masterclasses with intriguing links to the natural world include Numbers in Nature and Rabbits and Sequences.
There are lots of National Curriculum-aligned resources on this website, many of which link to the incredible plant species found within the Eden Project biomes. The fully-resourced lessons can be used to enrich your school’s science units such as Brilliant Bees: The Pollination Story.
The Royal Geographical Society (RGS) provide resources that are designed to inspire curiosity about the world and develop key geographical skills. The six-lesson modules, like Mountains, Volcanoes and Earthquakes, provide up-to-date case studies and opportunities for developing critical thinking and oracy skills.
