Did You Know?

Parasitoid wasps possess a needle-like body part called an ovipositor, which they use to insert eggs into other creatures. Scientists have developed more effective medical needles by mimicking the design of the wasp’s ovipositor. The new surgical needles enable surgeons to access hard-to-reach areas and remove unwanted cells during complex operations.
