Did You Know?

Pantanal giant water lilies can grow up to 2.5 metres wide, making them the largest water plants in the world. They grow rapidly, sometimes broadening up to 20 centimetres in a single day! Their size allows them to dominate the waters and block sunlight from reaching the smaller aquatic plants beneath. This creates a very competitive environment for other species.
