Morning Starters: Summer 2 - Four Seasons

Tuesday

Did You Know?

Have you ever wondered why some trees’ leaves change colour in autumn? In summer, leaves contain chlorophyll, which makes them green and helps capture sunlight. As autumn arrives, shorter days and cooler temperatures reduce sunlight, prompting trees to break down chlorophyll to retrieve nutrients. This process reveals hidden colours, leading to the vibrant oranges, reds and yellows of autumn leaves as they prepare for winter.
