Joy Adamson was a naturalist, artist and author. She was best known for her work in wildlife conservation in Africa. She gained international fame through her book Born Free, which documented her experiences of raising an orphaned lion cub and successfully returning her to the wild. Joy Adamson was a passionate advocate for the protection of all African wildlife and worked tirelessly to establish national parks and educate the public about the need for conservation.
