Each year, on Australia’s Christmas Island, roads are closed and bridges are constructed to allow millions of red crabs to migrate safely from their rainforest home to the ocean so that they can breed and lay eggs. The red crab migration is Christmas Island’s biggest tourist attraction, drawing nature lovers from all over the world.
