Morning Starters: Summer 1 - Record Breakers
Did You Know?
It is thought that a rhino’s femur (leg) bone is the strongest bone in the animal kingdom. Tests have shown that this bone can withstand a force of 109 tonnes. The incredible strength of this bone helps to support the powerful forces that a rhino generates while moving. However, whilst rhinos have the strongest bones overall, the tiny hero shrew has the strongest bones relative to its size.
