Morning Starters: Spring 2 - Riotous Rainforest

Monday

Did You Know?

Deep in the heart of the Amazon rainforest, men from the Waorani tribe catch and release enormous anacondas. For the Waorani people, the anaconda represents great strength, connection to the land and links to their ancestral spirits. In recent years, members of the tribe have been helping scientists monitor the health of the anacondas by taking skin samples. This important work is necessary as this magnificent reptile species is threatened by oil pollution caused by mining.
