Morning Starters: Spring 1 - Flowering Plants

Thursday

Did You Know?

The seeds of the extraordinary fire lily remain underground for many years until awakened by the smoke from a fire. The intense heat and smoke from a wildfire trigger the fire lily to shoot up through the charred landscape and display its vibrant red or orange flowers. As the only source of nectar around, the fire lily attracts pollinators such as sunbirds.
