Did You Know?
Geothermal energy is heat that comes from inside the Earth. It is a renewable, clean energy source that can be converted into electricity. Geothermal energy is available at various locations on Earth’s surface. In some places, such as Iceland, the heat is so close to the surface that it can be easily used as an energy source. Using geothermal energy reduces greenhouse gas emissions, helping to combat climate change by providing a sustainable alternative to fossil fuels.
