Morning Starters: Autumn 2 - Volcanoes

Thursday

Did You Know?

The Roman city of Pompeii is famous because it was destroyed in 79 AD when a nearby volcano, Mount Vesuvius, erupted. The city was covered in at least six metres of ash and other volcanic debris. The city’s quick burial preserved it for centuries before its ruins were discovered by archaeologists in the late 16th century.
