Morning Starters: Autumn 1 - Teamwork

Wednesday

Did You Know?

Elephants demonstrate deep family bonds and cooperation within their herds. They are usually led by the oldest female, called the matriarch. She helps guide the herd to find food and water. Elephants take great care of each other, protect their babies and work together as a team. For example, if a baby elephant gets stuck in the mud, the others will help pull it out. They also protect each other from danger and have even been known to help other animals in need.

Word Challenge

‘Big elephants can always understand small elephants’ is a mnemonic that helps with the spelling of the word ‘because.’
