Did You Know?

An endangered Indus River dolphin, one of the world’s rarest freshwater dolphins, was recently transported to a safer stretch of river. With the help of local villagers, a team of conservationists carefully captured the dolphin, ensuring it was kept hydrated and comfortable during its overland journey. Due to habitat loss and polluted waters, these dolphins are often found stranded in irrigation canals.
