Morning Starters: Summer1 - Critically Endangered

Wednesday

Did You Know?

Found in northeastern India and the Terai grasslands of neighbouring Nepal, the one-horned rhino is a truly remarkable species that is known for its thick, armour-like skin. However, these rhinos are critically endangered due to poaching (rhinos are killed for their horns as some people believe that they can cure illnesses) and habitat loss. Conservationists are determined to bring their numbers back up by securing protected areas and monitoring rhino populations carefully.
