Morning Starters: Summer 2 - Human Animal Conflict

Monday

Did You Know?

In India, farmers and elephants often clash over rice crops. Drawn by the scent of ripe rice, elephants can consume enough rice to feed 1,000 people in a single night. However, this comes at a heavy price as around 400 people die in these encounters each year. With their habitat shrinking, elephants are simply searching for food, but the conflict often ends in tragedy.
