Morning Starters: Summer 1 - Four Seasons

Monday

Did You Know?

Seasons occur because Earth’s axis is tilted as it orbits the Sun. During winter in the Northern Hemisphere, the axis is tilted away from the Sun, causing sunlight to strike at a lower angle. This results in the sunlight being more spread out, leading to cooler temperatures and shorter days. Meanwhile, in the Southern Hemisphere, the Earth is tilted toward the Sun, so sunlight hits more directly, bringing warmer temperatures and longer day – marking summer in that region.
