Did You Know?

On Christmas Island, coconut crabs are notorious for their mischievous thieving habits. These enormous crustaceans often occupy themselves by stealing items like sandals, knives, and cameras, much to the embarrassment of the locals. They use their powerful claws to grab shiny or colourful objects, mistaking them for scrumptious food. Their curious behavior makes them both a nuisance and a marvellous part of island life.
