Morning Starters: Spring 2 - Super Parents

Tuesday

Did You Know?

Emperor penguins are incredible parents in the freezing Antarctic environment. To shield their chicks from the icy ground, they balance them on their feet and cover them with a special skin fold called a brood pouch. Parents take turns traveling to the sea, where they catch fish and return to regurgitate meals directly into their chicks’ mouths. This teamwork guarantees the chicks have the best chance of survival.
