Morning Starters: Spring 2 - Super Parents

Tuesday

Did You Know?

Emperor penguins are remarkable parents, expertly caring for their chicks in the harsh Antarctic environment. To protect their young from the freezing ground, they balance them on their feet and cover them with a special skin fold called a brood pouch. The parents take turns traveling to the sea to hunt for fish, then return to feed their chicks by regurgitating the food directly into their mouths. This coordinated effort ensures the chicks have the best chance of survival.
