Morning Starters: Spring 1 - Woodland Wonders
Did You Know?
A woodland habitat is an area of land filled with trees, shrubs and flowers. British woodlands are special places because they are ancient, beautiful and home to an incredible variety of wildlife. Some woodland animals, such as owls, bats and badgers, are nocturnal, meaning that they are only active at night. Others, like roe deer and woodpeckers, are diurnal, meaning they are active during the day. From mischievous squirrels to magical bluebells, woodland habitats are essential to the UK’s biodiversity and a wonderful place to explore!
