Morning Starters: Autumn 2 - Marvellous Moon

Tuesday

Did You Know?

On July 20, 1969, Apollo 11 made history as the first mission to land humans on the Moon. Astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin successfully piloted their spacecraft, Eagle, to the rocky lunar surface, despite having little fuel remaining. Armstrong’s famous first step was followed by the collection of Moon rock samples and the placement of the U.S. flag. Despite numerous technical challenges, their safe return to Earth marked a remarkable achievement in science and space exploration
