Morning Starters: Autumn 2 - Forces of Nature

Did You Know?

Have you ever wondered why Earth is spherical? Its round shape is due to gravity. About 4.5 billion years ago, gravity pulled together gas and dust left over from the formation of the Sun, shaping Earth into a ball with equal pressure on all sides. As Earth grew, gravity continued to pull in more material, making it more rounded. However, Earth isn’t a perfect sphere; it is slightly flattened at the poles due to its rotation.
