Further Challenges

  • Once Beaky had made a mud net with his tail, he and his six dolphin friends waited patiently for the fish to jump into their open mouths. If a total of 112 fish were eaten by the dolphins and each dolphin ate the same number of fish, how many fish did Beaky eat?
  • Joey said, “If Beaky made a fourth mud net, with double the amount of fish trapped in it than the third mud net, the total number of fish in all four mud nets would be 240.” Is Joey right? How do you know?
