Further Challenges

  • Measure your arm span (from fingertip to fingertip). What is the difference between your arm span and the wingspan of a white-tailed eagle that measures 250 centimetres?
  • Have a go at at the fabulous Reach 100 problem on the NRICH website, which will require you to add together four 2-digit numbers using your preferred addition method.
  • Create a fact file on a particular eagle species (bald, golden, harpy, white-tailed, etc.) that includes lots of interesting number facts such as how big they are, how many there are left in the wild and how high they can fly.
