Writing Activities: Year 5
Lamb
A lamb is a baby sheep. Usually, sheep are considered to be timid animals that graze in flocks. They have a woolly coat and separate stomach compartments that allow them to digest grass and other vegetation.
In this clip, we will see a very clever lamb named Elfie help her owner, Raymond, herd some cows that have broken out of their pen.
Literacy idea
Elfie is a pretty clever lamb – if she can help farmer Raymond round up the cows, who knows what else she can do?!
Write a story about the adventures of Elfie the lamb.
Make sure you include:
- A gripping opening, introducing the characters and setting
- A build-up of action
- A problem that Elfie faces
- A resolution to the problem
- An ending that leaves your reader feeling satisfied
Remember to plan your story and use lots of vivid vocabulary.
