Proofreading: cuttlefish
Writing Ideas
- Draw a quick cartoon that shows a crab being hypnotised by a cuttlefish. Write thought bubbles for both animals.
- Using Show Not Tell sentences, write about the moment a cuttlefish is readying itself to devour a crab when, all of sudden, a shark appears on the scene. Write it from the point of view of the cuttlefish so the reader understands the change in the cuttlefish’s mood from near triumph to near death!
- Imagine you can sell pigment (the cells in the skin that enable cuttlefish to change colour). Create an advertisment that will convince cuttlefish to buy your state-of-the-art, super-hypnotising pigment. Why is it different/better than the pigment they already have? What will it enable them to do?
