Clip Description
Longer than six ten-year-olds lying head to toe, and weighing as much as 227 kilograms, the green anaconda is the largest snake in the world. Once it has suffocated a prey animal by wrapping its muscular body around it, the anaconda swallows its victim whole. Rainforest animals as large as caimans, jaguars and capybara have all been known to disappear into the mouths of these colossal reptiles.
In this fascinating clip, monkeys are foraging for berries on a branch that overhangs a river. They are seemingly unaware of the huge anaconda that is heading their way, stalking them from the riverbed. Will they escape unscathed? Watch the clip to find out.
