Clip Description

The king cobra is the world’s longest venomous snake. It is able to ‘stand up’ and look an enemy (the height of a human) straight in the eye.

In this fascinating clip, a king cobra is discovered in a Thai family’s back garden. Before being released safely back into the wild, it is anaesthetised and given a thorough medical examination by members of a snake conservation team. Why does one member of the team blow air into the snake’s mouth? Watch the clip to find out.
