• Write a descriptive opening for a story titled The Enchanted Forest. Describe the forest and the fireflies in it. Make sure you use powerful verbs so that the reader is able to visualise an image in their mind’s eye.
• Write a diary entry from the viewpoint of the cameraperson or another member of the production team. What were you thinking and feeling in anticipation of filming? Describe what you saw. How did you feel once shooting was complete?
• Write a haiku about the fireflies featured in the clip. A haiku is a Japanese poem that (traditionally) evokes an image of the natural world. It has three lines and uses a pattern of 5,7,5 syllables. You could use some of the descriptive words from the Word Wall.
