They are swift, silent and deadly. They are also beautiful, majestic and special. What am I describing? Barn owls! Barn owls are native to Britain and, with their white plumage and silent flight, are often likened to ghosts in the night. For hundreds of years, they have lived mainly in farm buildings, helping farmers by eating the mice and rats that can be found there.
