Clip Description

Howler monkeys are famous for their loud calls, which can be heard from up to 5km away within a densely packed rainforest. High up in the canopy, a howler monkey can use its tail as an extra arm to grip or hang from branches.

In this fascinating clip, you will see a female howler monkey lazing about on the branch of a tall tree. (As one of the least active monkey species, howlers can spend up to 80% of their time dozing in the treetops.) For their babies, sleeping is not at all entertaining. Will this particular mother’s baby find something interesting to fill its day? Watch the clip to find out.
