Clip Description
Golden moles can only be found in sub-Saharan Africa. They are tiny, blind and live mostly underground. As they have no sight, they use the senses of touch and hearing to move about and find their prey.
In this fascinating clip, we see a golden mole ‘swimming’ through fine grains of sand and making tracks that appear as if by magic on the desert’s surface. This pingpong ball-sized creature loves nothing more than eating termites. How easy do you think it is to find and catch these juicy insects when you can’t see them? Will dinner be served?
