Clip Description
There are over 200 different types of chameleon. The smallest of these are the leaf chameleons, with some reaching only 3 centimetres in length. These tiny lizards are found amongst the leaf litter of Madagascar’s rainforests. Their tiny size and excellent camouflage make them difficult to spot – especially when they play dead!
In this fascinating clip, a leaf chameleon sits comfortably on the end of a presenter’s finger. The chameleon is undoubtedly feeling quite anxious, being so close to a Parson’s chameleon, which is 3,500 times bigger! Despite the obvious size differences between the two chameleons, what do you think they have in common? Watch the clip to find out.
